Exploring the future of digital storytelling, RearWindows combines the real with the virtual, bringing physical sets to life with digitally produced visual content. Its cross-platform integration combines smartphones, tablets, Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) headsets, where users can co-explore and interact through a unique interactive experience, all in real-time.

The first demonstration of this platform is an AR/VR experience based around a 20th Century horror novel called ‘House of the Borderlands’, which was selected for its surrealistic plot, non-linear narrative and supernatural themes fitting the fantastical potential of combining both augmented and virtual realities with a miniature physical set.
