We are honoured to be invited to screen a retrospective of animation projects created by the UTS Animal Logic Academy students at the 2023 Melbourne International Animation Festival (MIAF).

Join us for ‘Australian Focus: The Films of UTS Animal Logic Academy’ and enjoy the highlights of 7 years of lively and engaging projects from the Master of Animation and Visualisation course at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

Established as a collaboration between UTS and one of Australia’s leading 3D animation studios, Animal Logic, the Academy offers students studio experience with hands-on project-based learning. Each year the students produce a 3D animated short film, that aspires to studio standards, and often wins awards both here and overseas.

This is an exciting opportunity to relive the student projects ‘The Colour Thief’, ‘Bounty Hunter’, ‘Sea of Freedom’, ‘Apart’, ‘Spirit’, ‘Robo Ramen’ and celebrate of the most recent 3D animated film, ‘Corrupted’.

The screening will take place on Sunday 14 May 2023 at 6.00pm at the Treasury Theatre, Melbourne.
Our Head of Academy, Ian Thomson will also be there to share a story or two about the development of the projects.
