In exciting news, our 2019 Master of Animation and Visualisation student project ‘SubAqua’ is going to be featured at Vivid Sydney, as part of the Vivid House ‘Floating World’ immersive experience.

This free event allows visitors to take a sensory journey through a series of 3D walk-through visual and sonic experiences. You’ll be able to immerse yourself in vistas that morph across 360-degree LED walls, blanketed by a mapped soundscape and heard through a state of the art, all-encompassing sound system.

During the ‘SubAqua’ sequence you will journey through an ancient underwater world, featuring an astonishing visual environment created by our talented Masters students and music from the influential Australian DJ and producer Peewee Ferris. The work is a testament to the large-scale collaborative project-based learning our students experience at the Academy, specifically as part of the emerging visualisation technologies studies.

So make sure to head to Vivid House at 1-25 Harbour St in Darling Quarter (in the Tumbalong Park area) and check out ‘SubAqua’ from Friday 27 May until Saturday 18 June (6pm-11pm each night).
